Jason Walker
was born in Waterford in the Republic of Ireland. He studied
medicine at
University College Cork, and currently works as a consultant
anaesthetist in North Wales.
Although he
was taught to use a camera (an aperture priority Yashica
rangefinder) by his
father while very young, his interest in photography only
really started with the purchase
of a second-hand Canon AE-1 in Swansea in the late nineties.
In 2006 he upgraded to a
Nikon DSLR, and attended a course run by Peter Clark. He
hasn't completely turned his
back on Canon; he carries a G9 almost everywhere. You never
know.
His work has
appeared in a number of publications, including Amateur
Photographer. In
2008 he was awarded his LRPS, and is currently working
toward his Associateship. Very
very slowly.
He lives on
Anglesey with his wife and children, all of whom are fully
convinced he's mad.
