Born in Sydney (Australia) but
spending most of my life in Brisbane, I have been interested
in taking photos since being given a Kodak Instamatic 104 camera as
a birthday present.
It wasn't until around the mid '80's that I started to get a little
more serious about photography
when I bought a Canon T70 and was able to combine my interest in
photography with my
love of classic cars and historic racing. Although some of my work
was being published in
magazines, it wasn't until I moved to the UK in 2004 and got
introduced to camera clubs, that
I really became serious about photography as an art... in all its
forms. Whilst it was the
beautiful UK countryside that enticed me into capturing landscapes,
I think it was an innate
interest in people that allowed me to try my hand at portraiture.
Recently I have moved back
to Australia and although I still do work for automotive magazines,
I am now interested in other
areas of photography and have a greater appreciation of the skill
involved in producing quality images.
