'End of the M1' by Brian Tompkins
.
I am a sun worshipper. When the sun is high in the sky and the temperature
soaring I am in my element, I can soak up the rays for hours, and my camera
stays forlorn in the cupboard. I love light but please not too much. When the
black clouds darken the sky and the rain threatens to pour down the camera comes
out. For in my mind the light becomes magic in the gloom, the slightest shaft of
sunlight lights up the scene and transforms the most mundane into a theatrical
set. This snap is the end of the M1, for the information of Londoners who have
wondered where it led. So now they know, it leads to Gods wonderful country. Leica 111g Voigtlander 21mm, scanned from Kodak Gold 100ASA.
